Michael: Our Own Drugs
Blue Crowned Manikin,
A name longer than the bird,
Perches on a twig.

Circumstances, again, have aligned themselves to form an amusing coincidence. This time it relates to drugs.
First off is our new dog. She came with a leaking problem that was occurring on and off while she slept. We debated giving her an estrogen shot and eventually decided to allow the vet to give her a small dose. It’s been a week, but so far so good.
Opposite that, on our pod cast rotation an American Life replayed an episode about the effects that differing levels of testosterone can have both physically and psychologically on individuals.
Meanwhile my sister dropped me an email about the rising number of drug addicts in her town of San Clemente.
And to add to the mix we’ve been watching Ruth Goodman, our favorite BBC historian, concocting various, and many dangerous, remedies in Victorian Pharmacy.
We’ve finished the pharmacy series and have moved on to Victorian Bakery.
My sister, coincidentally, is a very good baker herself and it’s quite possible we’ll be visiting with her soon. If again the stars will align just right, maybe I’ll come away with some surprising tangible and delicious swirlings of circumstances. Though, hopefully, the dog will be left out of the mix this time round.
