This being my first year back in the states for the holidays in three years, I’ve been a little more keen on observing the differences between the small farm community of Volcan, Panama and Los Angeles.
Without editorial comment one of those differences hit me this morning when KCRW talked about the annual homeless count in L.A. In the mountains of Panama, at about this same time, they’ll be setting a date for their annual bird count.
