Last week during some strong winds our phone line got taken down. We went without phone or internet service for two days. Not that we have dial up, but for some reason when the phone goes out, so does the net.

That means for the first time this year we turned to our old frumpled friend, and murder, to unwind before bed; Culombo. It’s gotten to the point where we know the old detective so well that we watch to see what minor flaws there are in the workings of the show.

The episode we watched had a EST type psychologist using his Dobermans to kill his best friend who had an affair with his wife. The flaw we discovered is that the psyche trained the dogs to kill the person who gives the command, “Rosebud.” Yet at the end he tries to kill Columbo by pointing to Culombo and giving the command. We feel the dogs should’ve attacked him.

All of this is to say it’s nice to watch a Culombo once every three months and not on a semi-regular basis like we did for several months last year when our net was on and off for days.
