Michael: Land Line
A scattered rain sweeps
Through the fading afternoon
Before the night weeps.

Panama is no different than the states in that a land line phone is quickly becoming a relic of the past. However, we have one because it’s a lot cheaper to call the states with one than it is using a cell phone.
But last week the magic and mystery of Panama struck again. After a few days of strong winds our phone line was down. Two days later it was repaired and back up and we made a few calls home. But now, for some reason, the phone is only allowing us to dial part way through the process before it gives out.
We’re not sure if it’s something in the line or just an old phone that’s had enough. We’ll have to once again turn to our trusty landlord to help us figure it out. I’m hoping she’ll loan us her phone to see if it’s the connection or the phone that’s the problem.
Either way, I’m sure it’ll all be put back together and up and running until the gods of Panama decide to toy with us again.
