Sadly, because so many people who believe in insane conspiracy theories can both appear perfectly normal and start conversations off on a relatively mundane path, it’s easy to get trapped into a long conversation where you end up quietly nodding your head to complete lunacy. That happened to Kimme and I today at the Friday farmers’ market.
Somehow starting with my mentioning a visit to Michigan next year we ended up in an abandoned Walmart that has been turned into a detention camp for protesters after martial law is declared in the United States.
This same person who warned us about the FEMA/Walmart detention centers, said he was looking at buying property in Michigan because there’s a lot of homes and land for sale there at very good prices.
Holding both of these beliefs at the same time seems somewhat puzzling to me. Why would a person want to buy property in a country where the government is preparing to forcibly detain people indefinitely in a Walmart? Hell, the U.S., intentionally or not, has already forced many communities to submit to shopping at Walmart, how cruel and diabolical of a government is a person willing to tolerate if they believe the government wants to keep people wandering through a Walmart indefinitely?
